40th Annual Conference of the AAPI kicked off with Pomp at San Antonio, USA



 


-       Special Awards for Dr Duvvuru, Mr GBK Murthy, PRO, Dr Naunihal Singh, Dr Meeta.

 

San Antonio, June 24: The 40th Annual Conference of the AAP (American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin) kicked off In San Antonio with much pomp. The conference chaired by Dr. Anupama Gotimukula, President of the Conference, was attended by doctors from all over the United States. For rendering outstanding services at the Global Health Summit Dr. Duvvuru Dwarakanatha Reddy, Dr. Nounihal Singh and Dr. Meeta, Mr. GBK Murthy were selected and

presented with special awards by the Management of AAPI.

Under the leadership of President Anupama, Dr.

Dwarkanath Reddy was felicitated with a Special Award for successfully organizing the Global Health Summit with the aim of providing equal medical access to all people in the world, Mr. GBK Murthy was honored with Special Award for his outstanding service for aintaining public relation activities as a great communication bridge between the Global Health Summit and the healthcare sector and the medical community in the field of healthcare. Dr. Meeta was awarded the Special Award for Excellence for working with the help of Tanvir Foundation and providing nearly 100 women with free Cervical cancer vaccinations worth Rs.9 lakhs and working extensively on Menopause in India.

As part of the first day discussions, there were presentations by Dr. Karthik Shiva Shankar and Chikvita Kollen on How can we provide equal medical opportunities through the diverse healthcare workforce available to us? And such other related topics. The event was presided over by Dr. Jayesh Shah, Chairperson of the Conference, Mr. Venki, CEO and Dr. Satish Kattula, Vice President, Elect.
